A few years ago, we had wet and dry seasons. A farmer would know when to sow and when not because of the consistency in the seasons. However, these days the seasons seems to have changed, Rwanda would experience over eight months of a complete dry season. For once, I was forced to question what I had been taught in school a few years back. I have to believe that there is nothing like dry and wet season anymore. Since this year started, rains have fallen irregularly. I feel sorry for farmers who have found farming a very difficult task. They now have to incur more costs to physically water their crops.
