Editor, I believe that Rwanda television (TVR) should be in position to air a few educative programmes as a way of helping our children to master English as a new medium of instruction in the country. Instead of airing the morning programmes like the breakfast show at 9 or 10 in the night, the programme show should be replaced by language programmes. Simple topics like how to pronounce English words, how to use vowels and nouns can be taught bit by bit in a special programme at least daily. We can promote English as a medium of instruction in schools if we endeavour to teach the language—starting with all media houses. Gasabo
