Friday Kirehe Vs Police Marines Vs Espoir Saturday Etincelles Vs AS Muhanga Police FC will need a four-goal margin to unseat APR at the summit when they travel to Nyakarambi grounds for match-day 6 encounter against Kirehe FC in the 2018/2019 Azam Rwanda Premier League. Champions APR were due to face second-placed Mukura at Kigali Stadium on saturday but the highly anticipated match has been indefinitely postponed as the two sides prepare for their respective return-leg games in CAF competitions. Going into the Kirehe clash, Police are fourth on the 16-team league table with 12 points, three behind APR and one adrift of Mukura Victory Sports. The military side also have a better goal difference (10) compared to Police’s six. The win over Kirehe will elevate Albert Joel Mphande’s team to a joint 15 points tally. “We have to be consistent and give our best in every match, because, it’s such – seemingly – easy games that determine the race. You underestimate an opponent and you pay a heavy price for it,” Mphande told Times Sport on Thursday. Kirehe are second from bottom with just two points but coach Francois Kalisa believes that the international break gave them time to regroup and work on their mistakes, and they will be battling for a first win of the season against Police. “It is premature to say that we will beat Police but, with the renewed energy and determination in the team, they should expect a hard time at our turf. We will do everything we can for victory,” said Kalisa. Elsewhere on Friday, Marines will be up against Espoir at Umuganda Stadium, the same venue Etincelles will use while hosting AS Muhanga on Saturday. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
