Ever since local boy band TBB fell apart in 2016, Martin Kasirye, aka MC Tino, the lead member of the group, has been plotting a solo career for himself, releasing a number of songs to that end while his colleagues Bob and Benjah vanished from the limelight. The group broke up at Primus Guma Guma Superstar 2016, with members Tino, Bob and Benjah (TBB) amicably agreeing to go separate ways. For the last two years, the MC and radio presenter outed a number of songs including Mula, Njyewe nawe, My Lover featuring Javada, Ibanga, Fine Girl featuring Aime Bluestone and Umurima, among others. On Saturday, MC Tino released his latest single “Medication” ahead of his album launch scheduled for December 8 at Wakanda Villa, in Kabeza. The former KFM and Royal FM presenter debuted the video of Medication on Saturday at Fuchsia Bar and Lounge and gave a few details about his forthcoming album launch. The dancehall track was produced by Brizz Beatz and the video shot by Brayan Mz in Uganda. The song is about a lover who is his “medication” whenever he is not feeling well. Several artistes including Uncle Austin, Dj Pius, TBB, Kid Gaju, Allioni, Rafiki, Urban Boys, Nasson, Khalfan and others are set to join the former TBB lead singer as he launches his first album. Entrace fee to the album release concert will be Rwf5, 000 for the general public and Rwf3, 000 for students. The MC has taken a hiatus from radio since his last job at Royal FM earlier this year. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
