Mukura have won four games out of four and are top of the table, along with defending champions APR FC, the two being the only sides not to have dropped a point from the four Azam Rwanda Premier League match rounds played so far in the new season. AS Kigali are in 11th place having drawn three games and lost one. Meanwhile, leaders APR visit Etincelles today on the back of an impressive run. “I have faith in my players and I know we can do even better,” said Mukura coach Christian Francis Haringingo. “We have been training and trying to correct weaknesses and mistakes we noticed from our previous games and we are in a better situation now.” He added: “We defended well at Kiyovu and we have to try to do the same against AS Kigali. If we want to win big things this season, then we need to be a solid team. If you are to stay at the top of the table, you need to score goals and defend well.” Djuma Masudi Irambona’s AS Kigali have only collected three points from their first four league games this season. “It is not going to easy. We need to improve with the players we have because they can improve. This is my task at every game,” he said. He added:” Our target is to win the league and we want to win many games. The defending champions lead the table standings with 12 points, level on points with Mukura Victory Sports, but the former lead the table standings courtesy of a better goal difference (eight) compared to Mukura’s four.
