Sanday Kabarebe has been named the Chief Executive of Energy Private Developers (EPD). Energy Private Developer’s association is a grouping of private companies operating in energy sector and is one of the 5 associations composing the Chamber of Industry under the Private Sector Federation (PSF) of Rwanda. Kabarebe is the body’s first chief executive officer since its establishment in 2014 as it has previously been led by a chairman. EPD has about 100 private sector players in the local renewable energy sector seeking collaborations with international players to make the most of the electrification targets. Kabarebe holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management in California, USA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, USA, and Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Hannibal La Grange College in Missouri, USA. He brings on board experience in asset management as well as privatisation and evaluation, mostly from civil service background.
