Local only boy music group, Dream Boys, is already in the U.S., ahead of their performance at the East Africa Chamber of Commerce (EACC) closing dinner in the U.S. this weekend. The dinner, on Saturday October 13, will mark the end of the 11th Annual Trade Conference of the EACC. The conference opened on Thursday October 11, at the Omni Mandalay Hotel in Irvin, Texas in the U.S. The theme for this year’s conference is: ‘Forging Deeper Relationships via Investment, Trade, and Innovation’. The gathering aims at enhancing business to business networking and partnerships between East African businesses and their counterparts in the USA to promote trade and Foreign Direct Investments (FDI). It will be the first time that the Dream Boys perform in the U.S. The duo were the winners of last year’s Primus Guma Guma Super Star (PGGSS) music competition, bagging Rwf24 million cash prize. It was the 6th time that the group was competing in Guma Guma, having made the first attempt in 2011, when the competition was launched. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
