Rwanda Film Festival The country’s flagship film event, the Rwanda Film Festival (RFF), returned for its 14th edition. Dubbed Hillywood 2018, the weeklong festival has been ongoing at various locations across the country. The theme for this year is “Heritage”. The festival draws to a close today September 21, with the screening of the documentary feature, “I’ve Gotta Be Me” at Hotel Villa Portofino. Kigali Arts Festival Kigali Arts Festival returns in its 4th edition this weekend with different exhibitors and handmade crafts. The event will be held this Saturday, September 22, at Marasa Umubano Hotel and will feature a wide range of Rwandan cultural handmade art crafts by talented artisans from across the country. According to organisers, this year’s event will also showcase fashion alongside art. It will also focus on products from rural areas, to create a platform for artisans to bring their products to bigger audiences. The festival starts from 10am to 6pm. Entrance is Rwf2, 000 for adults, and it’s free for children under 12 years of age. AMMA 2018 In line with its pan-African and Africa integration agenda, the Rwanda Convention Bureau and Rwanda Development Board will be hosting the 2018 edition of the African Movie Academy Awards in Kigali in September. It’s happening this Saturday, September 22 at Radisson Blu Hotel and Convention Centre. Movies Have fun with family and friends as you watch the latest movies, Crazy Rich Asians and The Meg, showing this weekend at Century Cinema, Kigali, located at the Kigali City Tower. Showtime is 4pm to 9:30PM. Night clubs If you are still looking for places to hang out this weekend, worry no more. Kigali has a number of night clubs, to sweat the night away.
