Traditional singer Jules Sentore is gearing up for a memorable concert during which he will celebrate his birthday, and a decade in music. Dubbed ‘Inganzo Mvukana’, the concert will be held at L’Espace Kacyiru on Saturday, October 9. He will be performing live alongside Rumaga, one of the best poets and lyricists in the country. The singer, who launched his career a decade ago, is proud of the incredible level his music has reached over the years, a journey he dedicates to everyone who pushed him along the way. Speaking to The New Times, Jules said that the past 10 years had ups and downs but never put him down, a move worth celebrating. “My music had ups and downs from the beginning but, thanks to everyone who contributed to this journey, here I am now. It’s a journey worth celebrating,” the singer said. The ‘Warakoze’ hit-maker gained the attention and admiration of cultural and R&B music fans, backed by his strong vocals. He rose to stardom after the release of his first album in 2013 dubbed ‘Muraho Neza’, and later made hits like ‘Udatsikira’, ‘Ruca Imana’, ‘Kora Akazi Akayama’ and many more featuring other artistes. He has also participated in major competitions like Primus Guma-Guma Super Star and was nominated for Salax Awards. Tickets to the concert will be available at the venue at Rwf15, 000.
