After a successful Europe tour, Davis D, has announced that he will headline the Happy People Festival slated for Saturday, October 8, in Goma, DR Congo. It is the first time that the ‘Dede’ hit-maker will be performing on the African continent since he started ‘Afro Killa’ tour. In the video posted on his social media platforms, Davis said he had been eagerly looking forward to shows like this which keep ushering him into the international arena. “Get ready for shine boy this Saturday. I will be performing at the Happy People Fest this weekend and it’s going down!” Davis posted. This event will see other artistes like Did Man, Josh Keeper, Cool B, Emmany, DD2, Tonton Karera,, Nan Rayo and many others perform. The two-day festival will also see the participation of over 20 DJs mixing music. Davis D is a Rwandan afro-beat star who rose to stardom after releasing the hit ‘Biryogo’ in 2015, a track that introduced him to the music industry. He got more attention during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, a period which saw him drop hits like ‘Bon’, ‘Micron’, ‘Itara’, ‘Ifarasi’, ‘Eva’ and many others.
