Rwanda volleyball team head coach Paul Bitok has named his final 14-member squad for the upcoming African U21 Men’s Volleyball Championships come September 12-19 in Nigeria. Of the initial 19 players who had been in intensive preparations, the Kenyan tactician dropped five players as he unveiled the final team on Wednesday afternoon at Amahoro Stadium. The continental showpiece, in Nigeria, will also serve as qualifiers for the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Mens U-21 World Championships to be staged Bahrain. Twelve nations have confirmed their participation at the African championships in Abuja including; hosts Nigeria, Egypt, Tanzania, Congo Brazzaville, Chad, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Niger, Botswana, Cameroun, Morocco and Rwanda. According to Bitok, the Rwandan contingent will depart for Nigeria on Sunday.
