The world automobile governing body (FIA) will hold its Prize Giving ceremony in Kigali on December 13. The evening, which is part of the 2024 FIA annual general assembly scheduled for December 9-14 at Kigali Convention Centre, will honour champions from every major branch of international motor sport. 10 years have gone so fast! It will also be an opportunity to thank all the people who have made it possible to stage such a diversity of events this year – the volunteers and officials and FIA Member Clubs including Rwanda Automobile Club. In December, 2023, FIA confirmed Kigali as the next host city of body’s annual general assembly. The decision was made public during the 2023 FIA Annual General Assemblies held in Baku, Azerbaijan. It is chaired by the President and is composed of automobile and touring clubs and national sporting authorities representing the 245 member organisations. It meets once a year. The 2023 FIA Prize Giving was hosted by Azerbaijan Automobile Federation (AAF), the City of Baku and Baku City Circuit renowned for hosting one of the most challenging street races on the F1 calendar, the Baku Grand Prix.
