Excusemy fixation with the 12 Thai Teens who’re no longer trapped, thank God. I’m sure I’m not the only one wondering what’s next for them. They’ve been propelled onto the global stage and are now kind of “famous” but who knows how long the media fascination will last? Do the boys then go back to their mundane lives? I hope not. Moments like these, however trying, shouldn’t be wasted and I don’t mean that in your typical milk-all-you-can kind of way. I just want these boys to get something out of this experience because some unscrupulous people are already exploiting their ordeal anyway. Overall though, it’s been positive outreach from around the world. I heard that one of the England Players has been trying to send them Jerseys since one of the boys was seen wearing one in a widely circulated video. That’s a good gesture but I think they need more than Shirts. They aren’t exactly privileged and I think some money would help them and their families, considering many Family Members have been camped outside the Cave for days. With some top players earning more than $100,000 a week with their Clubs, surely they can raise some money to cover these boys hospital bills and whatever else they need to help with their physical and psychological recovery. It would be nice if instead of taking yet another luxurious vacation or adding to their Flashy Cars Collection, they set up a Trust Fund for these boys. The big name brands could step in too. Come on Adidas, Nike, Puma, Coca-Cola... If they can all come together, these children’s lives would truly be changed forever and with the many elite Sports Academies around the World, the young football enthusiasts can be enlisted as they clearly love the game and who knows, a couple of years from now, they could be among the World’s best players and what a story that would be! I know some Hollywood Executives are already working on a Script to tell their story. They’ve had some tough lessons in the last couple of days on more gruelling tasks like diving and it was reported that some couldn’t even swim so I’m sure they can grasp some acting skills! Why not cast them, with their parents’ consent of course, to tell their own story instead of hiring some already overpaid actors to play them? I see Book Deals in future too and hope these innocent Survivors are not exploited because all some people really care about is that money! If the boys aren’t comfortable in their new found fame and would rather stay home close to their loved ones, maybe they can become Tour Guides later on. They seem to love the Outdoors and with some training, I think they’d make good Tour Guides. I bet there are many people out there thinking about visiting the now infamous Cave the boys and their coach called home for over Two Weeks. Their recollections and accounts would make good campfire stories!
