Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on Thursday issued a decree to extend the ceasefire in all conflict zones till the end of 2018. The decision comes following the states approach to uphold the values of peace and implementation of the outcomes of national dialogues, said Sudans presidency in a statement. For the past few years, the Sudanese government and the armed opposition have been repeatedly renewing the ceasefire in the conflict zones. In June 2016, al-Bashir declared the first ceasefire for four months to enable the rebels to join the national dialogue. The ceasefire has been extended for many times since then. Xinhua
