Ubumuntu Arts Festival 2018 The annual Ubumuntu Arts Festival is back and will feature a range of performances. This year’s edition will take place from July 13 to 15 at the Kigali Genocide Memorial amphitheatre with performances under the theme: “Art and the Path to Resilience.” The festival features artistes, troupes and audiences from around the globe using the medium of art to communicate messages of peace, humanity and reconciliation. Poetry book presentation and performances Fred Mfuranzima, author of “Dreams to find another world” will host book presentations and performances arranged by Imfura Arts, a Never Again Rwanda affiliated group, today starting at 4:30pm. The aim is to motivate young Rwandans to write their own history using their talent in promotion of peace, unity, reconciliation and critical thinking. The event will take place at the Kigali Public Library. Movies Have fun with family and friends as you watch the latest movies, Ant-man and the Wasp, Sanju, Ocean’s 8 and The Incredibles 2, all showing this weekend at Century Cinema, Kigali located at Kigali City Tower. Showtime is 4pm to 9:30pm. Night clubs If you are looking for places to hang out this weekend, we have some ideas. Kigali has a number of night clubs that include The Junction, Chillax Lounge, K-Club, Envy club, People’s Club and Ogopogo.
