AS Kabuye Women Football Club were on Sunday crowned champions of the 2018 Second Division Women Football League. AS Kabuye WFC defeated Rwamagana Women Football Club 3-1 in the final game of the season, which was played at Kigali Stadium. The women outfit finished the season unbeaten as they won 10 matches and drew three times to bag 33 points. The title victory earned them promotion to women’s top flight league next season. In another game played on Sunday, Rugende WFC thrashed Nasho WFC 5-0 to finish in second position with 31 points. Nasho WFC finished the season ranked third with 21 points, tied on the same points with Rwamagana WFC and Gatsibo who are ranked fourth and fifth respectively. Ndabu WFC and Imanzi finished sixth and seventh position, in that order, with 12 and 4 points. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
