As we discover more about love, no one can define the four lettered word just because LOVE is very confusing. It can cause happiness and at the same time misery! But if gifted with a good relationship, it feels like heaven and it’s all a person looks for. Love gives a reason for living and better meaning to life. But when it’s at the verge of breaking, people will try out all they can to make it work, though, at times they end up empty handed. Time is one thing that many neglect yet it’s the foundation of best relationships and even marriages. Yes, love at first sight exists, but in most cases it’s the time that you spend with that person, that makes you fall head over hills for them or even propose to them. Speaking of time, I mean the time you spare for each other in a relationship. To grown up relationships, we always use the excuse of “she or he understands my schedule.” In a bid to develop, many have sacrificed their love for business and work, ending up not even remembering their beloved one’s birthdays or other important things in their lives. Am sure most of us only take time off over the weekend to see their beloved ones. Funny that even a married couple at times meets very late at night only to wake up early to resume work! I don’t mean people shouldn’t work, but it’s all about effectively using the little time you get with your loved one. If it’s the weekend, then don’t go to that noisy bar! Home can be more affectionate and private for the two of you to talk about how things will work out and the troubles of the week. Time makes an impact on love, however little it might be. “I value every minute my hubie spares for me because I consider it a sacrifice,” says Peace Mutoni. As many consider time a sacrifice made for things to work out, especially to ladies time means commitment. Since one commits to spending time with her regardless of other issues to cater for, then she is satisfied. Time helps one know each other very well especially for couples that are under courtship. You’ll know the likes and dislikes of your spouse. Time as well builds trust especially for new couples. As we make 2009 resolutions, one of them should be spending more time with our lovers. Give it a try and see how things will automatically work out. It will give more value to your relationship. Ends
