SIXTEEN players from around the country face off in a round-robin tournament today as they tussle it out for spots in the last eight. The competition kicks off at6p.m at Active Pub today at in Remera. The best eight in today’s heated match-ups will automatically advance to the quartet-finals. Each of the six players made it to the last sixteen round after emerging winners from sixteen different sites of the preliminary round across the country. The month-long inaugural Pool Table National Championship is organised by Just Gaming, a sports firm which says it seeks to revolutionise tehs port in the country. The quarterfinals will be staged on June 4, semi-finals on June 6, while the final and playoff game for the third place are slated for June 8. The winner will pocket Rfw1.5 million, the first runner-up Rwf1 million, while the second runner-up will walk away with Rwf800, 000.
