Dear Editor,As usual, I happened to read your daily issue and yesterday I learnt that by the end of last year, about 91 percent of the total population had subscribed to health insurance. This percentage is impressive considering the fact that many people especially in the rural areas are normally negative about such issues. Despite the good result though, it is necessary that the remaining 9 percent of the population subscribes as well, because such insurance is a sure way of cutting the death rates and accessing health services cheaply. However, I also urge the government to help ease the process of using these health insurance cards (RAMA) at the various health centres. We may be insured but some health centres complicate the process, so queue management systems are necessary in such places. And all health centres should also be in position to treat anyone with mutuelle. KIGALI
