It appears that Rwandan artistes are realising that it is about time they take their music beyond the Rwandan borders and target the regional audience. Over the past one year, we are seeing more Rwanda artistes venturing into the East African Community (EAC) region, seeking collaborations in Uganda and Tanzania. It is in that sense that one of Rwanda’s most promising artistes Yvan Buravan felt the need to traverse borders and take his music to fellow East Africans. The Oya singer is currently in Tanzania having left Kigali yesterday and he says he has gone to promote his music and seek collaborations with Tanzania artistes. Buravan, real names Ivan Burabyo, has in the past done a collaboration with Tanzanian star AY, the remix of ‘Just a dance’. It appears however that this time the RnB star intends to conquer the Tanzania market. While in Tanzania, he expected to meet different artistes and conduct interviews with the aim of promoting his songs. Good luck to him. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
