Today SC Kiyovu Vs Miroplast Saturday Mukura Vs Etincelles Rayon Sports vs Bugesera Musanze Vs Kirehe Sunday AS Kigali Vs APR Marines Vs Gicumbi Sunrise Vs Espoir Bottom placed side Miroplast FC may already be fighting to stay in the topflight league but they will be looking to mastermind another giant-killing when they take on SC Kiyovu today at Kigali Stadium. In the first half of the season Miroplast beat Kiyovu while they also got points off defending champions Rayon Sports and record-time winners APR FC. Indeed, their head coach Suleiman Niyibizi says his team will look to draw inspiration from their impressive performances early on in the season. “Our comeback campaign starts tomorrow (Friday),” he told Times Sport. “We want to stay in this division and it’s still very possible; we only need to win our games and then see what happens,” he said. Niyibizi admitted that Miroplast were not performing at the same level as when they had just been promoted from the second division to the topflight league last year. “We need to draw inspiration from our performances during our early days in this league.” With only two wins, seven draws and a whopping eight defeats, Miroplast are bottom with 13 points tally – along with Amagaju – but a win today can propel them into 13th place and three points above relegation zone. Nonetheless, SC Kiyovu coach Andre Casa Mbungo said, that with his side having collected a solitary point from the last two league matches, they need all three points against Miroplast today to regain their confidence. “We want to get as many points as possible going forward,” said Mbugo, whose side are fourth with 29 points. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
