White Clouds claimed a comfortable win over Indatwa by 43 runs in the third play-off to set up a date with Charity in the women’s Division 1 final of the NAIDU T20 game played at Gahanga on Saturday. The Clouds won the toss and elected to bat first, posting 76 runs all out in 16.1 overs, and then restricting Indatwa to 33 runs. Egidia Uwimana was in fine form posting 22 runs of 25 balls to become best player of the match while her colleague Mary Maine managed 11 runs off 15 balls and also took a catch. In return, Indatwa were restricted to 33 runs all out in 14.1 over’s; Gisele Ishimwe managed 4 runs off 17 balls, while her teammate Sifa Ingabire scored 4 runs off 13 balls. The win means defending champions Clouds will take on Charity Cricket Club in the Division 1 final. In the Division 2 game, Ndera Cricket Club lost to Dolphins by 8 wickets in the round 4-5 play-off game at Kicukiro. Ndera won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 49-2 all out in 11.3 overs, in return Dolphins chased for 52-2. In the second game, Queens of Victory beat Phoenix cricket club by 4 runs. Phoenix won the toss and elected to bowl first, making 40 runs out of 10 balls, for the loss of 7 wickets. Divine Uwimana contributed 9 runs off 21 balls for Queens to become the star player of the match. Jeanne d’Arc Iradukunda managed 4 runs off 10 balls. In return, Queens chased for 44 runs off 10 balls for the loss of 4 wickets. Rebecca Niyobyose scored 7-11. Elsewhere, in the men national team trials, Rwanda Select Team A beat Team B by 5 wins.
