Kigali Cricket Club (KCC) won their second game in the V.R NAIDU T20 after beating Kerala Hunters by 29 runs at Gahanga cricket oval on Sunday afternoon. KCC won the toss and opted to bat first racing to a total of 158-5 in 20 overs but Kerala restricted them to 129 for seven in reply. KCC batsman Hassan Zaki played a crucial role in his side’s triumph after managing 58 runs off 53 balls while teammate Kamil Meera produced 23runs off 17 balls. Kerala Hunters batman Sagar K.B was the man of the match after posting 52 runs off 42 balls and Sibin Puthanpurayil struck 23runs off 22 balls but their efforts fellow short of what was required on the day. The game is the fourth defeat for Kerala who now remain bottom of the Division 1 Pool without any win in four games. Meanwhile Division 1 group leaders Telugu Cricket Club continued their good form as they registered their fifth victory of the tournament, after beating Right Guards by 18 runs. Telugu won the toss and batted first posting 141runs off 10 balls in 19.5 overs. Azhzr Khoza was named the man of match after contributing 33 runs off 25balls to put his team ahead. Samar S.Reddy contributed 26runs off 21balls. In return, Right Guards bowler Freddy Ndayisenga collected 2 runs off 26 balls in 3overs and Bryson Bugingo grabbed 2/22 in 3.5 overs. In the Division 2 game, Kutchi Tigers won the toss and opted to bat first to beat Sorwathe by 72 runs.
