The Rwanda FA has assigned Rwandan international referee Jean Claude Ishimwe to officiate Saturday’s league derby between Rayon Sports and APR FC. The ‘Rwandan Classico’ will take place at Kigali Pele Stadium at 3pm. It was earlier scheduled at 6pm but the FA moved it to 3pm to avoid potential light disruption and power cuts during evening hours. But a reverse result would also boost Rayon’s bid to make a title race turnaround just like they did during the 2018/19 season when they lifted the title after coming from 14 points behind. The latter was also an assistant referee during the pair's first leg clash in October 2023. Abdulkarim Twagirumukiza will serve as the fourth referee while Apollinaire Munyangiga will be the match commissioner.
