Innocent Seninga’s team opened the scoring through Songa in the 45+1 minute before Mbaraga equalized for the visitors in the 48th minute. Burundi international Fuadi Ndayisenga set up the ball for Hamidu Ndayisaba, who restored AS Kigali’s lead in the 64th minute but Nizeyimana levelled the score in the 78th minute. After the game, Seninga said: “I’m particularly happy with my players’ discipline and their work ethic throughout the match to come back from 2-1 to make it 2-2.” “It is sad we did not earn all points because we played well but a draw is not very bad.
