Gasogi United proprietor Charles Nkuliza Kakooza, popularly known as KNC, insists his club knocking out local giants APR FC from the Peace Cup is not any extraordinary achievement. Gasogi eliminated APR FC from the quarterfinals of the Peace Cup after a 4-3 victory on penalties at Kigali Pele Stadium on Wednesday, February 21. The pair had played a goalless draw over two legs. We take all victories the same. The fact that we won against APR should not make us sleep and feel like we already won the trophy. We have to put more effort and prepare for Police [in semifinals], KNC told the press KNC said he is happy with his squad even without star man Theodor Malipangou who was influential during his stay before parting ways with the club this month and he looks poised to join a foreign club. It is a privilege when players leave Gasogi and move to bigger clubs. Losing players is not a problem for me. We have already parted ways with our biggest star in Malipangou but the team is moving on, he said. Gasogi United will now face Police FC in the semifinals.
