The Southern province recently scooped the inter-provincial athletics gong after clearly dominating the competition which was held at Ubworoherane stadium in Musanze district. Some of the races competed in included 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 5000m and 10,000m among others. In the event’s closing remarks, the minister of Local Government, Protais Musoni highlighted that on top of bringing unity, such competitions serve to promote leadership characterized by quality service. He also called upon residents to expose corrupt officials and denounce all services which are tied to bribes. Ends
