Dear Editor, It is absurd that most officials of Association de l’Esperance des Taxis. Motor au Rwanda (Assetamorwa) are corrupt and harass motor cycle taxi drivers in Kigali. These officials stop motor cyclists to demand for irrelevant receipts of three to four days back— then ask for a bribe ranging from Rwf2,000 and above. To me, these officials seem idle as they ride around town looking for anyone to prey on. Such people should not even be called officials; in fact they demean our efforts of fighting corruption. I ask ASETAMORWA management to punish these officials such that even motorists can understand the relevance of fighting corruption. Kimironko
