Miss Rwanda 2009 Grace Bahati and her husband, Pacifique Murekezi, welcomed a baby boy on February 13, more than two years after their wedding. The US-based couple did not reveal the news until February 18 when the beauty queen made it public via her Instagram page. They named their first born Raphael B Murekezi. “Our little bundle of joy was born on 02/13/2024. Our hearts are filled with so much joy and gratitude,” Bahati posted. Bahati and Murekezi, tied the knot on September 4, 2021, six years after breaking up with rapper K8 Kavuyo with who they have a 12-year-old son Ethan. Her reign lasted for an additional three years until 2012 when Aurore Mutesi Kayibanda succeeded her to the crown. Since then, Miss Rwanda has only auditioned girls who have completed high school. According to the sources, Pacifique Murekezi is a son of Raphael Murekezi, commonly known as Fatikaramu, a former Rayon Sports player who was killed during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
