Miss Rwanda 2020, Naomie Nishimwe revealed that her wedding with fiancé Michael Tesfay will take place in December 2024. The beauty queen broke the news during an interview with public broadcaster, Radio Rwanda. She was asked how she felt after the proposal and responded that she has not to this date fully understood it. It is something that I always knew that once it happens, I will never forget it,” She pointed out, “ I couldn’t listen to what he was saying when he was proposing to me apart from when he said, “will you marry”. Nishimwe said that she was expecting the proposal and suspected that Michael would propose on Christmas because he had asked to meet her father. Among the many qualities that Naomie described in Michael is that he is disciplined, humble, God loving, unique, who loves her, and she loves back. Tesfay and Naomie were first reported to be dating in early 2022 before making their relationship public via their social media a few months later, sharing photos of them together with romantic captions.
