NORTHERN PROVINCE The Rwanda Animal Resource Development Authority-RARDA on Saturday donated 50 Frisian cattle to poor families in Kivuluga and Cyabingo Sectors of Gakenke district. This was in line with the cattle restocking programme of One Cow per family, where beneficiaries are supposed to pass on the calves to other residents in a rotating chain. The handover function, the first of its kind in the area attracted all area residents. The beneficiaries were, asked to utilise the cows donated as an industry from which they will receive milk, get fertilisers, as this will support their health and also promote agriculture production.
