Editor, A letter appeared in your newspaper of Monday November 5, 2017 in which the writer commended the good work that has been done by Rwanda National Police (RNP). The writer specifically commends the innovation that has been introduced by RNP with a single aim of providing safety and security of our people and of rebuilding the nation. In my opinion, while the letter attributed the gains to one individual, that is not the new Rwanda that has been built. The successful rebuilding of the country has been a collective effort where people with shared values and vision have put their efforts together for good of their institutions and the Rwandan people at large. In the case of the Police, the achievements are attributable to the entire police force where together they are marching forward. It is collective work of the women and men of uniform without whose commitment the Force would not be where it is today. Secondly, and most importantly, Rwanda owes its achievements to the vision and guidance of President Paul Kagame. Concerned Citizen
