The men’s Volleyball national team started their campaign in the 2017 Men’s African Nations Championship with a 3-0 win against Chad at Cairo Stadium Complex in Egypt on Sunday. Rwanda overcame Chad 3-0 in Pool D (25-20, 25-21 and 25-15). Rwanda will face Botswana in second game on Monday before finishing the group stage matches against Algeria. In the other match, Egypt beat new comers Niger 3-0 (25-10, 25-6, 25-12) in Pool A match. The top 2 teams in each of the preliminary Pool will qualify for the quarterfinal, which will be the knockout stage, where the winner of Pool A will face the runner up in Pool D while Pool D leaders will face the runner up of Pool A. Leaders of Pool B will face the runner up of Pool C and head of Pool C will meet the runner up of Pool B. The winners of the quarterfinal will qualify for the semifinal and then the winners of this stage will go through to the final.
