Editor, RE: “Peacekeepers’ role in ever-changing and unpredictable environments” (The New Times, October 12). Well-written and contained sound and practical advice. My worry, however, is that sponsors/funders (or their acolytes—i.e. so-called rights watchdogs) of peacekeeping missions are sometimes supportive of genocide ideology and behind falsification of history and distortion of reality. This is probably what Gen Patrick Nyamvumba called ‘constantly changing and unpredictable environments’. This is a big challenge. Jean-Marie
