UN “apprentice chefs” stirring up a storm in the DRC

The UN has outdone itself again. The recent report that was “leaked” to the media, five days before it was to be presented to the UN Security Council, is yet another reflection of how the 60-year old body damage controls. After billions of dollars that were poured into the UN mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) yielded nothing but scandal after scandal, the New York based body had to look for leverage to pull itself out of shark infested waters- pointing a finger in the wrong direction. The age-old practice of sending “experts” who rely on hearsay evidence to base their reports on is still the norm with UN probes. Hearsay in itself is not the problem in this case because it can be a basis of where to begin investigations.
