University of Tourism Technology and Business Studies (UTB) Volleyball Club have signed Patrick Kavalo Akumuntu from league champions, Gisagara VC. Patrick Kavalo Akumuntu. Rwanda international left-attacker, a young brother of Flavien Ndamukunda, signed a one-year contract until end of 2018. “I have signed a one-year contract with UTB and hopefully, we shall be able to challenge for trophies,” he confirmed. The 25-year-old, who is in his final year at UTB where he is pursuing a bachelor degree in Information Technology, spent last season in Gisagara helping them to a league title in their debut season. UTB, who finished 7th in the 8-team league table last season with 13 point, have signed several other new players including; center William Mudahemuka and left-attacker Muvunyi Fred from Kirehe VC as well as setter Jean Paul Sibomana from IPRC-South. Gisagara VC are the defending champions in men’s category while RRA are the champions of the women’s league.
