Editor, RE: “Embrace sustainable agriculture practices” (The New Times, September 27). There is nothing green about chemically-impregnated crops. This road leads to inevitable poisoning of our agricultural land, the extinction of our traditional food crops and eventual guaranteed food insecurity. There is something of the Orwellian in calling practices that are so deadly to our most precious resource, agricultural land, as ‘constituting a green revolution’! It is nothing of the sort.
