Thursday Police vs Mukura Mukura Victory Sports coach Lotfi Afahmia has said that his side can only improve as they welcome Police FC to Huye Stadium ahead of Thursday’s Primus National League clash. Mukura are in fifth place on the table with 30 points and a win on Thursday would see them leapfrog Police FC and jump into the top four, a result that Afahmia believes his men can achieve considering their current form. The way we started the season was unimpressive. We were conceding many goals but, slowly, we are turning things around. We have to create a great performance against Police FC and I hope we can win the game and close the gap at the top,” Afahmia said. The Tunisian has been impressed by the progress that his players have made so far considering that it has positively impacted the club’s performance and he tipped them to only get better game after game. We are now good on the ball, we make effective passes and runs for each other and all these make the game look easier for us,” he said. “We are getting better with every game and, hopefully soon, we will be up and closer to the top teams. We have spent time with these players and I can see there’s good progress.” Mukura, one of Rwanda’s oldest clubs, has not won the league title since it was created 1960.
