Police handball club have been drawn in the same group as rivals Nyakabanda and TTC Rubengera ahead of the forthcoming 2024 national Heroes Day handball tournament. The two-day competition commences Saturday, February 10, bringing together t 16 teams including 10 in the men’s category, and six in the women’s fray. ALSO READ: Handball: Heroes Day tourney due February 10 The men’s clubs lined up to participate in this year’s edition include: Police, TTC Rubengera, Nyakabanda, APR, Musanze Handball Academy, TTC de la Salle, Gorillas, Adegi, UR Rukara and Es Kigoma, while Kiziguro, Falcons, UR Rukara, Three Stars, ESC Nyamagabe and University of Kigali will be represented in women’s tourney. Group A includes Police, TTC Rubengera and Nyakabanda, while Group B has APR, Musanze handball Academy, TTC de La Salle and Gorillas. Group C comprises Adegi, UR Rukara and Es Kigoma. The group stages will be held at Kimisagara and Nyamirambo courts, while the finals are expected to take place at Kimisagara court.. The best two teams in each pool will advance to the semi-finals.
