What’s happening this weekend? PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITIONCome support Jaques Nkizingabo’s photo exhibition “I am a Survivor. It includes portraits of children born during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and people who lost loved ones. Inspired by Odile Gakire, the series depicts a generation of children growing up without their families, but still achieving their dreams. It happens this Friday at the Kiyovu based Goethe-Institut. FIESTA RWANDAThe long-awaited ‘Fiesta Rwanda’ is happening this Sunday at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Nyamata. Renowned Jamaican reggae band, Morgan Heritage, and Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz will headline the show. It will also include performances by Vanessa Mdee and Chegge, both from Tanzania, local artistes Yvan Buravan, Charly & Nina, and DJ Pius. Fiesta is one of the biggest music events on the Tanzanian entertainment calendar and it is the first time the music festival will be staged outside Tanzania.
