Marines FC have parted ways with striker Arthur Gitego with five months left on his contract. Gitego, 22, received several offers from froeign clubs like Kenya Premier League side AFC Leopards and CA Bizertin from Tunisia and Macedonian side FK Shkupi but a deal with either side hit a snag since Marines were not interested in selling their star striker. The youngster is now free to move to any club after both parties finally agreed to part company. The Rubavu-based said the player is now free to join any club with AFC Leopard leading the race to sign him. Times Sport understands that Gitego is set to sign a two-year deal with the Kenyan club on Friday. He previously also played for Heroes FC, Kiyovu Sports and Gicumbi FC.
