Dear Editor,I am very glad that Rwanda introduced the one laptop per child scheme. This was a great initiative especially now that our country is positioning itself as an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) hub. However, my query is whether the government will equip all teachers with computer skills. I hope it is necessary because though many may have the skills, a good number of them do not. This may put the teachers without ICT knowledge in a difficult situation to implement the programme. With such innovation, everything possible should be made to ensuring that the young generation benefits from this project. That way, Rwanda will emerge as a strong ICT hub in the near future.
