Editor, RE: “Labour Day: Murekezi calls for improved service delivery” (The New Times, May 2). It was a timely move to hold labour day celebrations at the Kigali Special Economic Zone (SEZ). However, it’s quite discouraging to see in the evening scores of workers in the SEZ walking home partly due to lack of public transportation. I also understand that workers’ amenities in the area like affordable restaurants are far away, in Kimironko. Can these issues (maybe there are others) be resolved in the spirit of improving workers’ conditions in this area and the labor day spirit? MG
