The three-time champions stretched their unbeaten run to six games after defeating Gatsibo-based ADEGI Gituza 40-22. Zacharie Tuyishime scored a game high 12 goals to guide Antoine Ntabanganyimana’s side to victory on Saturday in Gatsibo District. On Sunday, Police again defeated Saint Aloys de Rwamagana 51-22, with Gilbert Mutuyimana contributing 11 goals. The win took Ntabanganyimana’s side to 18 points in six games, seven points ahead of second-placed ADEGI, while APR are in third position with 10 points but having played two games less. Elsewhere, APR beat Ecole Secondaire Urumuri 58-20 with Viateur Rwamanywa netting nine goals while fourth-placed Kigoma, also on 10 points, lost to sixth-placed Nyakabanda 33-30. Nyakabanda moved to eight points. ES Kigoma’s Sam Mbesutunguwe scored a game high nine goals. St Aloys de Rwamagana jumped up into fifth with 10 points after they defeated University of Rwanda’s College of Arts and Social Sciences (UR-CASS) 41-28.
