Dear Editor,I would like to thank the Rwandan Police, especially the traffic department for the crucial role they have played in controlling road accidents in the country. We all know that some years back, the country had very many cases of road accidents and several dear lives would be lost. Of recent, we have not been hearing about fatal accidents in the press like we used to. In fact, even the numbers of deaths per month and per year have greatly reduced, according to a Police report telecast on Rwanda Television recently. This is partly because drivers are very cautious. They don’t want to be caught breaking any road traffic rules. In this regard, I want to challenge other traffic police officers in the region to emulate the example of Rwanda, in order on their roads. This is possible. Barrack Obama, the US President-elect once said that everything is possible. I therefore urge all those who thought that reckless driving was hard to control to come to Rwanda and see what the Police have done. Thumbs up, Rwanda police for a job well done! KAGARAMA
