The match day 15 game was initially supposed to take place on Sunday but both teams agreed to play on Saturday. APR are now in second place on the league standings with 33 points, three adrift of Rayon Sports who eased past SC Kiyovu last evening. “Our mission is to win this game and continue leading the table. We have a set of players who are up to the task, we will try to take this game seriously because we want to get a good result,” Mulisa said on Friday. The former APR and Amavubi forward added, “In the last game (against Rayon Sports), we created many chances but only scored one goal. We’ve worked on that in training and, hopefully, we will be able to take our chances against Bugesera.” Bugesera signed four players from APR before start of the season will be looking for a win to keep their top four finish hopes alive. The four players include; forwards Farouk Ruhinda Sentongo, Bertrand Iradukunda and Bievenue Mugenzi as well as goalkeeper Olivier Kwizera. The Eastern Province-based side also appointed former APR and Amavubi assistant coach Vincent Mashami as the new head coach on a one-year contract until end of the season. Bugesera FC are currently in fifth place with 25 points. Elsewhere, fourth-placed AS Kigali will play against Espoir at Kigali Regional Stadium hoping to win and leapfrog Police FC in third spot — Police play on Sudnay against Marines FC at Umuganda stadium in Rubavu. Sunrise FC, in seventh spot, entertains 9th placed Musanze in Nyagatare, while Hamisi Sogonya’s Kirehe FC will be at home to Mukura.
