CANAL+ has unveiled ‘CANAL+ CAN, an exclusive channel dedicated for the much-anticipated 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) which kicks off in Cote d’Ivoire Saturday, January 13. The new channel was unveiled as part of ‘Twese muri CAN' promo that CANAL+ Rwanda launched on Wednesday, January 10. Available to CANAL+ subscribers since December 14 on channel N°9, CANAL+ CAN offers live HD broadcast of all matches–from the opening match between hosts Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea Bissau at Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan at 10:00PM to the final match slated for February 11. Sophie TCHATCHOUA, the Managing Director of CANAL+ Rwanda, said the new channel is ‘a big thing’ to football fans. “...and we expect our clients to enjoy the new experience. The editorial team, consisting of journalists like Vincent Radureau, Charles Mbuya, Lilian Gatounes, and Salim Baungally, will be supported by CANAL+ consultants and correspondents in major African capitals, ensuring comprehensive coverage and expert analysis. Two shows namely ‘Jour de CAN’ and ‘Soir de CAN’ will be live on the channel . The latter will review all the results and the highlights of the day in the eyes of the experts. The month-long tournament comes with a special promotion where CANAL+ subscribers will be able to follow all the matches live on Ikaze bouquet at just Rwf5,000. For the new clients, they will be able to purchase the full CANALl+ kits at just Rwf5000 and pay another Rwf5000 as installation fee while existing clients will enjoy 15 days watching all channels once they renew their current bouquet.
