Only a few shares changed hands on the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) yesterday, while the bonds market was quiet. According to the RSE daily market report for Monday, Bralirwa was the only active counter during Monday’s trading session, and the beverages maker recorded a total turnover of Rwf182,000 from 1,300 shares traded in three deals. It traded and closed at Rwf140, unchanged from Friday’s closing share price. The Rwanda Share Index and the All Share Index were unchanged to close at 120.40 and 127.32 points, respectively. Meanwhile, the other equities counters closed as follows: Bank of Kigali Rwf234; Crystal Telecom was at Rwf80; and Equity Bank at Rwf334. NMG was at Rwf1,200; KCB Rwf330 and Uchumi Supermarkets closed at 104. At the end of the formal trading hours, there were outstanding offers of 4,496,200 shares at BK counter between Rwf230 and Rwf255, while Bralirwa received offers of 28,600 shares between Rwf140 and Rwf143 and an outstanding bid for 54,000 shares at Rwf135. On the Crystal Telecom counter, there was an outstanding bid for 7,000 shares at Rwf80 and outstanding offers of 1.24 million shares between Rwf85 and Rwf88. On the bond market, there was an outstanding offer of Rwf240 million of bonds at Rwf104 and no bids.
