White Clouds Cricket Club captain Veronic Iriho is optimistic that her side will win this year’s UAE Exchange and 20-overs Premier League. Speaking to the Times Sport on Saturday, Iriho said that her team is ready to challenge for the top prize in a competition, which they have won twice since its launch in 2013. White Clouds will face defending champion Charity Cricket Club in the final on Saturday at Kicukiro cricket oval. On the way to the final, White Clouds defeated She-Guards, Queens of Victory and Kigali Angels CC. White Clouds has dominated Rwandan women cricket winning V.R NAIDU T20 tournament (three times) and two UAE Exchange and 20 overs Premier League. “I have no doubt that we shall win the final, we have the best in the country. Charity are the defending champions but we fear no one,” said Iriho. She added, “We have mature and experienced players, they are well versed with the rules of the game and can fight until the last ball is played.” editorial@newtimes.co.rw
