On November 18, U.S-based Rwandan singer Meek Rowland, released her brand new single, Ngerageza, produced in The Sounds Studios. “I am so excited to say that people in Rwanda have given attention to my music. The expectations from this new song are high, especially when it comes to promoting my music back home and in the region,” said the singer, born Rowland Mutoni. Rowland is working on a project that will see her do collaborations with artistes both in the country and in the region. “The music industry in Rwanda is growing fast and I want to be a part of it. I want my fans to expect more songs and collaborations with different artistes back home and in the region. I intend to release my first album towards the end of next year if all goes well,” said Rowland. Rowland, 30, is a very promising and gifted singer/songwriter of the new generation, with easy flowing lyrics that have a strong breath mark. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
